Night Sweats: How Do You Keep Your Bedding Fresh?

As I get older my body seems to be changing.  I sweat a lot easier, not only during the day but during the night while sleeping.  I have searched through some web sites to see if there is something I can do to keep my bedding fresh.
Night sweats seems to be a common problem for young and old people.

I didn't find any ways to help the smelly bedding except to change it often, but I found several suggestions to help stop the sweats.  One was to put a glass of cold water on the bedside table (just cold tap water).  Apparently this not only reduced the sweating but also eliminated the smell for this person.  One person was helped by eating a banana+1 Tbsp peanut butter before going to bed.  Others said to drink more water or Gatorade, reduce salt intake, or do trial and error on foods you eat as some foods may cause the bad smell.

There's a lot out there about physical conditions causing the smelly sweating. The majority of the posts said that smelly sweats seems to be sugar related, both Hypoglycemia-low blood sugar, and Diabetes-high blood sugar.  Other causes may be certain medications, high blood pressure, energy drinks, caffeine and several posts even said cancer can cause the smelly sweats.  So looks like there are a lot of things that could be causing the bad smelling night sweats!

Leave any comments you have on this problem.  We're always open to suggestions!
